What are the costs associated with operating the system today at Valmont? (people and tech) Which of these costs are usage-based? Are we able to get a spreadsheet together of these costs along with usage data on end customers served, orders processed, etc?
I added the cost data from QAT to the Startup and Growth Workbook spreadsheet in the Deliverables and Service files on the Cost of Goods Sold tab and provided the historical data I found in a new Development Costs tab for reference. We need to determine COGS to provide a basis for pricing.
We pay $11K to Microsoft to host all of our Azure which includes GalvTrac, VCC and VCC Max. These costs include all of our instances (test, dev, prod) as well as monitoring etc.
As for people I would say internally we have 3 people dedicated to VCC\VCC Max today. Their focus is DevOps, Product Owner & Implementation\Support. Salary and Fringe in the $400=$450K range. This is for internally usage, if we pursue SaaS we would obviously need additional resources.
